Untitled #860
I have my final GCSE exams in a few weeks, and then I will be really busy over summer, so I won't be going on until after June/July, maybe even August. Oh, and after that I'll be starting my AS Levels, so I probably won't be making a set more than once or twice a week.
I'll miss Polyvore, but it's for the best! xx

Trend Alert: Trainers/Sneakers/Gym shoes
So I was in an area of London very famous for it's eclectic mix of styles and fashions, that is often credited as the starting point of many new street trends.
Anyway, the amount of people I saw wearing trainers like the ones shown in my set was staggering. I was even more surprised by how effortlessly cool it looked, especially when worn with a jersey maxi skirt for that perfect blend of sports and luxe.
They were being worn in loads of different ways- with pleated midi skirts, dungaree dresses, even to add a bit of quirkiness to a preppy, English heritage outfit.
I would choose a pair of suede New Balance trainers, and style them with a grey jersey maxi skirt, denim blouse, leather jacket and snood for a cool and casual look, that's perfect for this season. Accesorize with a printed canvas tote, bright nails and scarf, layers of silver necklaces and a retro watch.

Dream wedding

Dream wedding
Husband: Douglas Booth. This could potentially happen, as he's only 4 years older than me!
Season: Early spring, for the blossom, summer for the roses, autumn for the colour or winter for the frost!
Venue: A traditional English country house. I don't like it when non-religious people get married in Churches, so I wouldn't.
Colour scheme: Cream, soft pink, taupe.
Bridesmaids: Two to three. Dressed in simple (not cream) dresses.
Food: A relaxed meal- nothing stiff and starched, but in-season, fresh, local produce, lovely seafood too.
Size: Between small and medium. Both our families, and close friends.
Bouquet: Something seasonal. A blossom and lily-of-the-valley based one for spring, cream and soft pink rose based for summer, berries and foliage for autumn or snowdrop for winter.
Song: Train 'Drops of Jupiter' maybe? Or some classical music. Haven't decided!
Gifts: Ask for money to be donated to a charity maybe, or everyone could chip in for the honeymoon.
Honeymoon: Somewhere in Europe- Italy, perhaps.
Ring: Quite a simple gold or platinum band, but with something special- I love the detail on this Tacori one.
Dress: I'm not sure about traditional dresses, I think I'd rather have one that is a bit different, like this gorgeous broderie anglaise one from Topshop. If I was actually getting married, I'd spend a bit more money on the dress though! But I love the idea of a short, but still demure dress for a wedding. It would have to be cream. For after the ceremony, I'd like a blazer
Accessories: Some shoes in a vintage style, like these Mary Jane Dolce and Gabbana ones. A really cool Alexander McQueen clutch. A feminine belt. A brooch pinned to the inside of my jacket for my 'something blue'. A pair of pearl drop earrings. My mother's veil and hair comb for my 'something old' and 'something borrowed'.
Hair: Loose, natural curls and waves.
Makeup: Very natural. Rose pink lips, soft pink cheeks, subtle eye makeup. Perfect base.
Perfume: Diorissimo or Tom Ford.

Bridesmaid
If I was getting married, I'd love my bridesmaids to be dressed like this, or if I was a bridesmaid, I'd love to wear this. The shape of the dress is so minimalistic, and yet the poppy print is restrained but romantic, beautiful and completely my style. The clutch matches the dress without look too 'same-y' and the shoes are one of the most stunning pairs I've ever seen. A ring or two on the fingers and some coral gloss adds the finishing touch, and the hair would be in romantic curls.

Raw crystal
Raw crystal jewellery makes your look utterly romantic and mystical. I love a long pendant with a shard of lilac crystal for the evening over a black skater dress and suede platform heels, but for daytime, a statement ring and bracelet in almost transparent crystal can really create a lovely look.

Would I wear raw crystal jewellery? Yes!

An outfit for the sweet as sugar girls out there, who like a bit of edge once in a while. A chic white lace dress would make the perfect prom dress, but can also be worn for parties and days out. Adding a denim jacket over the top makes it a bit more casual. Also, the simple shape of the tote bag with the leather details adds some charm with the floral pattern, but isn't too sweet. The wedges add height without being uncomfortable, and the cool sunglasses add a vintage vibe. The belt will cinch your waist for an hourglass look, and the wallet will hold your (possibly non-existent after splurging on these goodies) cash and cards.

Summer?

Summer?
If you live in England like me, you'll know that the weather hasn't exactly been summery lately. But don't worry, you can use the summer clothing you've bought now by following these top tips:

1. Layer- wearing your bright maxi skirt with a layered denim shirt and top combo will instantly make your outfit more weather appropriate. You can also wear a pair of tights under your maxi skirt (unless it's sheer), and they'll never know! You can also wear a t-shirt under your summer dress or playsuit so you can get the summery look without baring too much skin.
2. Lace up- wearing lace up shoes, like brogues or converse will keep your feet warmer than wearing sandals.
3. Tights- simply wearing tights under skirts, shorts, playsuits and dresses will fight the spring chill while still allowing you to utilise your summer apparel.
4. Knit- layer a chunky knitted cardigan or jumper over a summery shorts and tee outfit to keep you cosy.
5. Neutrals- if you want to break out the brights now, but are scared too as the weather is still grey and miserable, add a neutral block of colour to your outfit.
6. Outerwear- add a basic blazer or jacket to your outfit to keep warm up top.
7. Boots- you can definitely wear boots in the spring, even if you aren't going to wear tights with them. Just wear thick socks underneath that don't show.
8. Materials- materials such as leather, wool and tweed and typically wintery, but as long as they're in springtime colours, you can wear them now!
